Top Ten Safety Tips

 

Often, criminals are opportunists who prey on the weaknesses of others. Many such crimes may be avoided by simply following simple safety practices.

(1) Never leave your garage doors open while away or sleeping. It's not uncommon for criminals to patrol neighborhoods looking for open garages for exposed valuable personal items.

(2) Keep your vehicle doors locked when unattended. Never store valuable items in plan view. Never keep your garage door opener in a vehicle that is parked outdoors unattended.

(3) Always protect your personal identity. Never volunteer any identifying information such as your formal name, date of birth, social security number, credit card number, or a bank account number to any unauthorized individuals.

(4) Never leave small children unattended.

(5) While shopping, never leave a child, purse, or any other valuable item in your cart if it is a distance any farther away from you than arm's length.

(6) When selling an item, always clear a check or money order through your bank before releasing the item to the new owner.

(7) When using an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) always be aware of what is
going on around you.

(8) While driving, always keep you doors locked.

(9) Leave lights on outside of your home or business at night

(10) Lastly, If it's too good to be true then it probably is.
